Are there any side effects?
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity. Sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental area treatment. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks. What is CoolTone?
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
CoolTone can build and tone muscles in the abdomen, buttocks and legs. During a Cooltone treatment, an applicator is used to deliver energy to contract the muscle tissue. Approximately 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions will occur during a single session. During treatment, the muscles respond to this intensity and begin to remodel and develop muscle tissue, similar to intense exercise. The process allows patients to receive natural looking tone and contours without a surgical procedure. One treatment session typically lasts about 30 minutes. A series of 4 is typically recommended depending on your ultimate goals , which 2 weekly sessions can be performed.

ABOUT COOLTONE

What can I expect from my treatment?
CoolTone treatment is virtually painless, and each treatment session lasts 30 minutes per treatment area. CoolTone can be used alone or in conjunction with CoolSculpting or other body contouring treatments.
What is the downtime required after the procedure?
There is no downtime required for the CoolTone treatment, and you may return to your daily activities immediately after your session.
Are there any side effects associated with the procedure?
There are no significant side effects associated with this treatment. Some patients may experience redness or tenderness in the treatment area(s) that typically resolve on its own within 24 hours. Adverse effects may include but are not limited to muscular pain, temporary muscle spasm, temporary joint or tendon pain, and local erythema.
When will I see results?
Majority of patients will see improvement immediately after treatment that will continue to improve over the course of a few weeks.
How many procedures will I need?
The number of sessions needed to achieve your desired results vary from patient to patient. Although the majority of patients may see immediate results after one treatment, some individuals may require additional sessions to achieve optimal results. CoolTone results can last upward of +6 months with a healthy diet and routine exercise. Retreatment may be needed to maintain CoolTone results overtime.
How much does the procedure cost?
CoolTone cost is significantly less than other muscle stimulation technologies.
Who is not an ideal candidate for the procedure?
CoolTone should be used with caution in patients with Grave’s disease, active bleeding disorders or seizure disorders, and anyone with implantable devices.

QWO (“collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes”) Injection Treatments to Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite
Thanks to a recently FDA-approved treatment, it’s possible to reduce cellulite and smooth the appearance of buttocks or thighs with a simple, non-surgical solution. QWO (pronounced kwhoa) is an injectable treatment to reduce dimpling for those suffering from moderate to severe cellulite. A typical treatment consists of a series of injections delivered about 21 days apart. Some patients have seen noticeable differences in as little as 90 days.\
What is cellulite?
Having cellulite is a perfectly normal condition. In fact, 85% to 90% of women have cellulite, regardless of their weight. No known treatment for cellulite will remove it permanently, but patients receiving QWO treatments have reported positive and long-lasting results.
Cellulite is easily identified as a dimpling of skin around pockets of fat. Contrary to popular thought, cellulite is not the result of sagging skin or skin laxity.
To understand how cellulite forms, picture your body as having three layers: a covering of skin, a layer of fat, and a structure of muscles. There are also thin collagen membranes called septae that serve to connect the skin to the muscles. As fat builds up between the layers of skin and muscle, the septae become thicker and tighter, resulting in dimples. Cellulite becomes more visible as the body ages because the skin becomes thinner and is more easily pulled inwards by the septae.
Here’s another simple illustration. Think of septae like the thread used in tufted upholstery. In this case, there are three layers: fabric, structure, and foam in between. Strings connect the fabric to the structure and create dimples in the layer of foam. The same thing happens to your body.
Women tend to be more susceptible to cellulite than men because men’s septae bands form in a criss-cross pattern. However, men who receive medical estrogen hormone treatments may begin to develop cellulite as septae begin to form vertically instead.
How does QWO work?
QWO is injected into the target area by a medical professional. Depending on the area of concern, one single treatment can consist of up to 12 injections and take an average of 10-20 minutes.
QWO contains an enzyme believed to target Type 1 and Type 3 collagen and works to reduce the thickness of septae or release them entirely. What Is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology for fractional resurfacing that stimulates collagen production. What Areas Can Be Treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face and neck, as well as the abdomen which is beneficial for tightening loose skin with underlying fatty tissue.
A PDO (polydioxanone) thread lift is a revolutionary technique for skin lifting. Before being used for aesthetic purposes, physicians used PDO thread safely for decades for medical procedures such as treating gynecological disorders and suturing incisions. It’s a safe procedure approved by the FDA and can be performed in a short 45-minute office appointment which will barely disrupt your day.
What is a PDO thread lift?
A PDO thread lift temporarily lifts and moves the skin for a period of time while promoting collagen to reshape as well as revitalize the feel and appearance of the skin.
Depending on the treatment area, the procedure uses either a floating non-barbed thread (these build collagen and do not lift the tissue) or floating barbed thread. After the site has been given a topical numbing agent and local anesthetic, a needle is used to insert the thread. Once inserted, the thread acts as an anchor and lifts the skin upwards. Finally, the excess thread is cut off if needed as in the case of lifting threads.
Three different types of threads may be used:
- PDO mono threads – These are smooth sutures to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen production.
- PDO cog threads – These have barbs to latch into the skin to support and lift it.
- PDO screw threads – These are one or two intertwined threads that help restore volume to sunken skin parts.
After the threads are inserted, the skin will begin to tighten as collagen production and blood flow increase to help reshape skin at the cellular level. This means even after the threads have dissolved, the skin will be reformed, so you experience enhanced skin texture, improved elasticity, and fewer lines/wrinkles for six months to a year afterward. In fact, many of these results will become visible within a month or two of treatment, depending on how quickly your body produces collagen. Some patients may require a follow-up treatment for longer-lasting results.
The type of thread used in the procedure will determine how long the threads will remain in the skin. Eventually, the threads will dissolve into the body. Threads that are thicker usually will last longer. A typical timeframe for most lifting threads is between nine months to a year.
What after-treatment care is required?
Most patients leave the procedure and return to their daily activities. There may be bruising and swelling for the first 24 to 48 hours after the appointment. Lifting threads have more aftercare when compared to cog or screw threads. Particular attention should be given to the treatment area to allow it to relax and heal. For example, a patient may need to sleep on their back for a few weeks to avoid putting pressure on the treated area or delay dental procedures requiring holding their mouth open for an extended period. Some activities such as intense exercise, drinking through a straw, or visiting a sauna are not recommended for a few weeks after treatment.
Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen. It restores volume while tightening and thickening the skin, much like a facial filler. Although, Sculptra® is a collagen stimulator, not a facial filler. It is not like a regular hyaluronic acid filler that immediately volumizes and gives visible results right away. With Sculptra®, you’ll see a natural filling effect within the first couple days, followed but a decrease in volume. At this point, the body slowly starts to produce its own collagen, re-establishing volume that has been lost over time. Though the initial results take longer to appear, the results will last longer than that of other facial fillers.
BOTOX is a medication injected by tiny needles into the muscles of the face to interrupt the nerve signals to the muscle so it cannot contract, thus preventing the wrinkles that occur from repetitive motion of that muscle. QWO (pronounced kwhoa) is an injectable treatment to reduce dimpling for those suffering from moderate to severe cellulite. What is cellulite?
