The Sunscreen “Scoop”

By | News

Sunscreen should be a daily part of your skin care routine.  Protecting your skin from the sun helps prevent signs of aging and more importantly reduces your risk of skin cancer.  There are two type of sunscreen; one that blocks the sun chemically and one that does this physically.  Products that physically block are best.  Mineral sunscreen provides a mechanical/physical block, it is good for the skin and it doesn’t block the pores and cause outbreaks!  Cream sunscreen and sunscreen that is added to over the counter makeup or moisturizer is a chemical form of sunscreen and must be reapplied throughout the day to be effective.  They also must be given time to be absorbed and bind with the skin to start working.  Minerals are not absorbed by water or skin.  Once applied they are immediately effective and extremely water resistent.  Colorescience Sunforgettable products are the only cosmetic products on the market that have the Skin Cancer Foundation seal of “recommended”.  Sunforgettable mineral powders are available in 60 and 30 spf, in 3 shades of color.  Call/text/email us to find out more.  We offer complimenarty skin consultations to educate you on how to best care for YOUR skin.  541-292-6464  contact@kingaesthetics.com
